Dear DFL Members and Supporters,

You have the power! Join DFA Night School to get the skills and then get to work for campaigns in your area on DFA’s Day of Action, May 13.

DFA Night School

Class 1: Moving our Message

April 18: Building a Grassroots Army: Volunteer Recruitment

April 25: Rules of the Road: Canvassing

May 2:  How to Make Phoning Fun

Day of Action

May 13: Organize an event or find one in your area

Last week, nearly 1,000 DFA members participated in the first DFA Night School online workshop where they learned the basics of spreading the progressive message.

Now we need to bring our message to the voters.  In order to win, we need to build a grassroots army to reach out to millions of Americans—one voter at a time—and persuade them to vote Democratic.  The second session of the Night School is designed to do just that—teach you the skills to recruit more volunteers and expand our grassroots network.  Sign up today:

The more people we have working for change, the better our chances for success.  During the series, you’ll learn how to work within your social network to get your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers involved in the fight to take our country back.  The live online training and conference call will begin at 8:30pm Eastern Time, tomorrow, Tuesday, April 18.  Please RSVP now:

Why are these Night School sessions so important?  Because once you’ve mastered the winning tactics, you’ll be able to put them to immediate use for the upcoming DFA Day of Action.  On Saturday, May 13, DFA members will “Spring into Action” by participating in campaign outreach events across the country.  To join an event in your area visit:

If there’s not an event already planned, then organize one yourself.  It can be a house party, a phone bank, or an afternoon of knocking on doors in your neighborhood.  The point is to lay the groundwork for victory in November by providing candidates with the support they need now.

I can feel the momentum swinging our way.  Now let’s keep it up.

Thanks for all you do.

P.S. Check out some of the grassroots feedback from the first DFA Night School session:
[The Training] was clear, concise, organized—[a] great approach to training with hands-on specifics for participants to take away.  The materials will be helpful to our local Democratic Party and candidates.  I plan to share the information.
—Pat

I am excited that DFA is developing interactive organizing tools to teach, inspire and motivate the grassroots.  I’m getting more excited about it all the time.
—Janelle

The event helped me clarify what we Democrats are up against.  Good sound advice for creating and spreading a clear message.  I look forward to the next event.
—Trudi

Very well thought out program.  It was short and to the point.  I think the lessons learned will go a long way to improving the reach of the Democrats’ message this year!
