Correction: The Klobuchar-Kennedy debate scheduled after the event with Garrison Keillor will take place at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, not at the Marriott Hotel as previously stated.  There is limited seating at the debate and doors will close at 6:45pm.

Please note: For the Kerry event you must park at Madison East Mall in Mankato and ride the shuttle bus to the event.  Parking will not be available at Minnesota State University-Mankato.

Sen. Obama, Sen. Kerry and Garrison Keillor to campaign with Tim Walz next week

Obama:

U.S. Congressional Candidate Tim Walz and U.S. Senate candidate Amy Klobuchar will join U.S. Senator Barack Obama (D-Illinois) to lead a “Get Out the Vote” (GOTV) rally on Monday, October 30th, 2006 at 5:00 PM. Senator Obama is coming to Rochester to show his support for Klobuchar and Walz; he will emphasize the importance of grassroots organization and energize volunteers for the final countdown to the election.

Kerry:

U.S. Senator John Kerry (D-Massachusetts) will join Congressional Candidate Tim Walz for a GOTV rally in Mankato on Wednesday, November 1st, 2006 at noon.  Walz is one of a handful of candidates termed the “Fighting Dems” for their post-9/11 military service.  Kerry is campaigning across the country for Walz and other “Fighting Dems.”

Minnesota radio superstar Garrison Keillor will join DFL Congressional Candidate Tim Walz for a GOTV rally and on Thursday, November 2nd, 2006 at 5pm.  DFL Candidates Mike Hatch, Lori Swanson, Mark Ritchie and Rebecca Otto will participate in the event.  Walz and Keillor will be joined by special musical guest, Martin Zellar.
