Dear Editor,

Dick Cheney is at it again.

In a speech to his Republican faithful, the Vice President attacked you for standing up against the administration’s failed stay-the-course approach.

“Dean Democrats have defeated Joe Lieberman” with “a candidate whose explicit goal is to give up the fight against the terrorists” and a strategy of “defeatism in the face of determined enemies.”

Cheney wants us to go back to the days when Democrats were afraid to stand up for what we believe.  But we aren’t going to let that happen.  We know that it is time for change.  Dean Democrats are working to make change happen and are standing up for what we believe.

This is about honesty and reality in the American conversation. Cheney and Bush believe that we should remain silent while they lead American in the wrong direction. Dick Cheney and George W. Bush’s stay-the-course strategy is not working in Iraq or here at home.  America needs new leadership and ideas, but all Dick Cheney can think of is how to blame it all on Democrats. 

We will not back down.  We will move America forward. Add your name to show Cheney that Dean Democrats are standing together for change in Iraq and new leadership at home.
