Your help needed Monday!
Tell the U. S. Secretary of Transportation why the largest loan to a private company in the history of the United States should not be made and why Rochester should be protected!
It’s been a long, grueling road, but our concerns about the DM&E project’s impact have finally reached the highest levels of U.S. government. We’ve received word that U.S. Transportation Secretary Mary Peters will be in Rochester in just 3 days!
Join us Monday, December 4th at Rochester’s Central Park, as we show Secretary Peters how much we care about protecting Rochester. Your presence will be an important element in communicating the level of public concern about the project and the $2.3 billion dollar loan.
Where: Central Park – Across the Street from the Charter House.
When: Monday, December 4 @ 3:30 p.m.
Directions:
· Gather at the Charter House Cultural Arts Room SW starting at 2:45pm.
· Enter main lobby off 2nd street. A member of the Charter House staff will direct participants. Participants should refrain from protesting until off of Charter House property.
· Be in place in Central Park by 3:20pm.
· Signs will also be available on site, feel free to bring you own handmade signs
· Wear your ‘Track the Truth’ t-shirts.
· Bring friends, family… ANYONE available and interested.
The work of many has brought us this far, including the diligent efforts by you and so many others has created a high level of urgency on this matter and paved the way for Secretary Peters’ Monday visit. We are grateful for all who’ve helped elevate public awareness about this project and the terrible cost it could exact on Rochester’s economic engine, Mayo Clinic. Help us send a message to Washington!
