This is a "Land Ho! from the crow's nest," meaning this is a major issue our
society is going to face and it's barely on the horizon in anyone's mind
yet. Most folks see it from the economic perspective in terms of the boomer
bulge that will move into the "over 65" category.


But, there are a whole host of other issues that are connected to this. The
largest issue is the state of health care and how we care for the elderly.
Other issues are more subtle and involve, among many others, the changes in
the shrinking size and increased mobility of our families, changes in our
value system, the breakdown of community, and the loss of independence in
the face of irreversible frailty and infirmity. Please watch the video if
