Support Kids’ Health Care Today:

"Letter to Editor"

10/16/2007

Call Reps. Bachmann and Kline and Tell Them to Support SCHIP; Attend Tuesday Night Vigil at Rep. Bachmann's Woodbury Office

Dear DFLer,

As the U.S. House of Representatives prepares to vote to override the president's veto of the State Children's Health Insurance Program, it's time to take action to make sure that Minnesota kids have access to the health care they need.

Not surprisingly, Representatives Michele Bachmann and John Kline are right by President Bush's side. In fact, on the Jason Lewis radio show, Bachmann recently said about the children, families and citizens who are standing up for SCHIP, "If they want to take this fight on, I say ‘Bring it on."'

All right, let's bring it, and not let Bachmann or Kline off the hook.

Call Reps. Bachmann and Kline today to tell them to put Minnesota children ahead of partisan politics and to vote to override the president's veto, a veto that will cost 30,000 Minnesota kids access to much-needed health care.

Rep. Michele Bachmann: 651-731-5400 or 320-253-5931
Rep. John Kline: 952-808-1213

Want another way to stand up for SCHIP?

Join health-care workers, parents, children, faith leaders, child advocates, community leaders Tuesday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Woodbury office of Representative Bachmann for a candlelight vigil to support health care for uninsured children.

What: Candlelight vigil for children's health care

When: Tuesday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m.

Where: Office of Rep. Michele Bachmann, 6043 Hudson Road, Suite 330, Woodbury, MN

Sincerely,
