Boehner in Minnesota

Today John Boehner came to Minnesota to try to raise money to elect Randy Demmer here in the Southern part of our State and tonight he will be in Edina trying to raise funds for third District candidates.

What Rep. Boehner will experience is a State that has gone from red to blue; a State thoroughly disenchanted with the GOP results of governance; and a State tired of Tim Pawlenty and his financial antics.

Minnesota is trying to repair the damage done to transportation, education, and healthcare as a result of Pawlenty’s period as governor.

Boehner will raise a few bucks from special interests although there are not a lot of them in Southern Minnesota. He will do better in Edina.

If the fund-raising yield is poor in Southern Minnesota then it will have the effect of hanging Randy Demmer out to dry before the balloting even begins.

We have not heard results of Boehner’s fund-raising efforts.

We did witness a Walz rally pinning the donkey tail onto Boehner and Demmer as two politicians wanting to kill our American Social Security program. That is not popular with so many people facing retirement in the next few years here in Minnesota.
