ST. PAUL - DFL Chair Ken Martin released the following statement today in support of the Supreme Court's decision to uphold the Affordable Care Act:

"In Minnesota and across the country, Americans are grateful the Supreme Court decided to uphold the Affordable Care Act and ensure that hard-working, middle class families will have the security they deserve when it comes to their health. The ruling today means no American will ever again be denied care because of a pre-existing condition, seniors will continue to save hundreds of dollars on their prescription drugs and young adults will be able to stay on their family's plan until they are 26."

"The DFL proudly stands behind President Obama and our DFL leaders in their efforts to pass this landmark healthcare law. Instead of focusing their efforts on repealing this critical law, it is time for Republicans to come to the table and start addressing the real problems in our country - the economy and job creation."
