Governor Dayton’s statement on decision to not appeal child care union ruling

Saint Paul – Governor Dayton today released the following statement on his decision not to appeal the Ramsey County District Court decision regarding Executive Order 11-31, which would have allowed home child care providers an opportunity to vote on whether or not to form a union:

“Although I strongly disagree with the Court's decision, I will not appeal it. I will work toward electing a new legislature, which will support the right of working people to decide for themselves whether or not they want to join a union.”
