July community events

"Other"

07/07/2006

Here is a community events list for July.  Since it is summer, there are more festivals, fairs, etc. than issue related events.  I recommend the Rally for the Future, Amy Klobuchar’s visit to Rochester on Monday, the Mayor’s International Picnic; Dear George: Letters to the President, and the Farewell picnic for Kristin Mannix of the Diversity Council.

According to the Chateau Theater web site (http://www.chateautheatre.com), All Gore’s “An Incredible Truth” movie on Global Warming has been extended until July 13.  I also recommend seeing this movie.  See the web site for movie times.

There are many weekly events in the summer including the farmer’s market, Sunday evening Down by the Riverside concerts at Mayo Park (starting this Sunday), the Thursday downtown Rochester Summer Market and Music, and the Monday Harmony for Mayo Concerts.

If you have any events you would like to add to this list please send them to Diane Hellie ()
