TODAY: Obama Supporters to Hold Presidential Debate Watch Parties
"Letter to Editor"10/07/2008
ST. PAUL – Supporters of U.S. Sen. Barack Obama will gather to watch the second presidential debate at locations around the state. The watch parties will be an opportunity to bring supporters together with neighbors and community members to watch the debate and talk about issues.
“Barack Obama is offering real solutions to the economic crisis facing middle class families. Yet the McCain campaign is resorting to nasty, dishonorable attacks in an effort to ‘turn the page’ on his failed approach to the economic crisis,” Obama’s Minnesota state director Jeff Blodgett said. “Minnesota voters watching this debate are not looking for more of the same old tactics of fear and smear, they want to hear a vision and strategy to provide relief to working families who are suffering in this economy. Senator McCain’s plan to tax health insurance for the first time ever proves that he’s just offering more of the same old failed policies.”
