1st CD Convention Weekend in Albert Lea!

Hi Everyone,

Just a few days until our 2008 1st Congressional District DFL Convention! Here are a few things going on:

SET UP of Convention Facility: Friday from 4-6pm at Southwest Middle School. We could use some volunteers to help set up tables and chairs, stuff delegate folders, put up signs, etc. So come and join us to get ready for the big day!

FRIDAY EVENING APPETIZER RECEPTION SPONSORED BY SENATOR DAN SPARKS - 7pm at the Americinn, Albert Lea, by I-90 & Co Rd 22. This is open to all DFLrs and there's no cost, so stop by if you can.

SATURDAY CONVENTION - Registration begins at 8:30am and we convene at 10am. Lunch will be available on site from the Freeborn County DFL and we'll get finished up in the late afternoon just in time for...

A WALZ DINNER to honor "Minnesota's Labor Tradition" - Ramada Inn on Main St. in Albert Lea, Social hour begins at 4:30 and the Dinner is served at 6pm. There are a handful of seats left for walk-ins, but if you want to guarantee your meal, I'd suggest you send an email to . Tickets are $50. Please indicate your meal choice - Roast Beef, Chicken Marsala, Butter Baked Cod or Vegetarian Lasagna.

I look forward to seeing you all this weekend when we once again give our enthusiastic endorsement to Congressman Walz and make sure he continues to represent the people of southern Minnesota!
