A Sincere Thank You

Dear DFL,

Our Fourth Annual Olmsted County Democratic Dinner was a huge success. This dinner is our largest annual fundraising event and has been crucial to the fiscal support of our candidates and incumbents since 2004.

This event requires an extensive amount of volunteer support and contribution of time.

A sincere thank you to our Mistress of Ceremonies Senator Sheila Kiscaden. A program which accommodated media schedules, elected officials, candidate requests and a live auction was no easy task but with Sheila’s guidance was skillfully done.

A special thank you to Diane Hellie who organized the Silent Auction. The Auction was truly unique, beautifully done and a tremendous success. With items of all price ranges and contributions from a president, senators and local donors everyone had a chance to partake and enjoy the beautiful presentation Diane created.

Thank you to those who contributed items for the auction and to those who donated money when they were unable to attend.

I must also thank these devoted party officers, Greg Caucutt Associate Chair, Pat Stallman Treasurer, Lonna Stork Secretary and Mike Quinn Director. The Olmsted County DFL is very fortunate to have their leadership.

From stuffing invitations to designing the program, everything matters for a successful outcome. Thank you to all the volunteers, especially Lynne Eckhart, Frank and Dottie Hawthorne, Ruthie Lawler, Loyal Nelson, Bob Sixta, Spencer Stevens and Dottie Voigt.

Finally thank you to all who attended this year and in years past.

Your contribution whether it be time, talent or fiscal is vital to the support of our incumbents and 2008 candidates. It was just three years ago when this list included only 2 Democrats representing the people of Olmsted County.
