Air America Minnesota Programming Changes

Dear Listeners, We are grateful to all of you for your support of AM 950 Air America Minnesota. Many of you have been with us since the beginning in November 24, 2003, before Air America existed or Ed Schultz began broadcasting nationally. You’ve seen a lot of changes and we appreciate your patience as we attempt to secure the best programming available to bring to you.

We are sorry to announce that our local morning show is being cancelled. Wendy Wilde has decided to discontinue her work due to health issues. We thank her for her pioneering effort for progressive talk in Minnesota.

Rachel Maddow

On Monday, February 6th, we will begin carrying Air America Morning with Rachel Maddow from 6-8 a.m. Many of you have heard her when we carried her show briefly during October, November and December during the 5-6 p.m. hour.
Also, Monday we will begin carrying an extra hour of Stephanie Miller starting at 8 a.m. each weekday.

On Monday, February 13th, we plan to launch a new local show from 5-6 p.m. featuring a variety of talk show hosts, some of whom you’ve heard before on our morning show. We are committed to local programming and developing local progressive talkers, but we hope you understand this is a big challenge as there has never been an outlet for progressive talk in the Twin Cities.
