Al Franken Coming To Rochester 9/12
08/30/2006
Paul Munnis
Al Franken is bringing his body, wit, and comedy, back to Rochester. This time he will appear in support of the candidacy of Ann Lynch for Senate District 30.
Al Franken is well known for his work with The Independent Film Channel, Air America, and his public appearance in support of Democratic candidates across Minnesota. He was the featured speaker at the Olmsted County DFL fundraiser this year.
Ann is running for the seat vacated by Sheila Kiscaden.
Ann has a visible history of hard work on behalf of the Rochester School District where she serves as an elected official on the Rochester School Board. Anyone that watches the cable-TV broadcast of the Rochester School Board meetings has seen Ann as she very carefully inspects the finance and logic of district spending.
What they are cooking up is a hamburger bash at Soldiers Field on September 12th from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. The food will be catered by The Turn Restaurant, the Soldiers Field golf course club-house vendor.
No doubt it will be a relaxing evening for those opting for a picnic in the park with someone else doing the cooking.
The event and the dinner is just $25.00. Deadline for dinner tickets is Sept.5.
