Bush Administration Diverting Attention Away from a Mess

The Bush Administration is trying to divert attention away from the bad news breaking about war crimes and atrocities leading to POW death in Afghanistan. The story that was presented by the NY Times this morning is sickening and begs the question of supporting our troops. Heads must roll over this one and they better be the heads of senior commanders who need to stand trial in the International Criminal Court for human rights atrocities.
The Bushies are also trying to divert the attention of the public away from the thousands of protesters who are rioting and demonstrating in Iraq demanding that the U.S. get out and go home.
Stories of more corruption in government are breaking by the hour over the Bush involvement in the food for oil scandal when Saddam was in office..
The Bush Administration is feigning concern over photos of Saddam in his underwear to divert people away from the hard truth of this mal-administration in government.
They also do not want Laura Bush’s claim heard that Newsweek should not shoulder total blame for the Afghanistan riots and so Bush is babbling on about a failed Social Security proposal in order to divert attention away from that story.
The Senate is on the eve of declaring that the government is now a dictatorship as they strip the last remaining vestige of power away from opposition Democrats. A dictatorship is defined as when all of the branches of the government are controlled by the same party and when minority opposition voices are silenced. Exactly the scenario planned by the Senate GOP leaders and being called “the nuclear option.”
Iran is smuggling atomic material according to the news wires and North Korea is readying for nuclear bomb testing.
How much longer will this go on? It’s hard to know. Sooner or later the American people are going to demand that big changes be made.
