Candidate financials one indication of candidate viability

As the fourth quarter of 2005 winds to a close, we are all being bombarded with pleas for financial support from candidates for public office. That is because each quarter candidates must update the finance committees of both the Federal and State government as to how their fundraising efforts are progressing.
Those who will endorse candidates will look at these fundraising efforts and then judge in part the candidate’s election viability from the donation made by the supporters of the candidate. The theory is that the supporters who make donations will then vote for the candidate.
We are reaching the close of the 2005 fundraising period and all who would donate for this year would be wise to go to the candidate website and contribute before we run out of year.
