Car Bomb Blast Kills 8 in Shiite Mosque

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - A car bomb exploded Friday at a Shiite mosque in the capital, killing at least eight people, police said.

The blast happened during midday prayers at al-Subeih mosque, said police Col. Ahmed Aboud. A number of people were also believed wounded, he said.

The U.S. military had no immediate information on the attack.
