CD1 Convention: Tim Walz is Endorsed for Congress

Thank you all so much for making our 1st Congressional District convention a huge success today.  Your support of our next Congressman, Tim Walz, was superb today and I know that you’re all going to work hard through November 7th to support him with your time, energy, talents and money!  He’s worth every bit of it and more!  Just imagine what it will feel like in January 2007 when we throw Gil his retirement party!

Thank you especially to all the hard work put in by our party units in SD 23, Blue Earth and Nicollet counties, along with our 1st CD Executive Committee.  AND thank you to all of you who served on our pre-convention committees - you worked overtime to make things run smoothly.

Finally, thanks to those who stuck around to canvas in the rain today, and to our field organizer, Sarah Duevel, for putting that together.  It will take this kind of dedication to win in November and this group proved that it’s abundant in our party and we’re ready to bring about real change for our district, state and nation!
