Chaney, Halliburton, and Walter Reed Hospital

The granting of private un-bid for contracts to Halliburton and its subsidiaries is unconscionable. This is Dick Chaney’s former corporation. Chaney has millions of dollars of their stock in his trust fund and it is growing even as he is the V.P.
The Bush Administration has taken over the Government Purchasing Agency (GSA) and is steering these contracts to Halliburton using the rationale of it being “expeditious during war-time.”
Now we see that Halliburton is involved in the privatizing of the Walter Reed Army Hospital and that in order to improve profits they had rid themselves of needed maintenance workers.
It’s time for Congress to use its oversight responsibility to open up the long sealed can of Halliburton worms. Especially as they now seek to move their corporate offices off-shore to Dubai in order to avoid paying U.S. taxes.
Let’s see what is really going on because somebody needs to go to the pokey over this corruption.
