Ciresi campaign on the move!

12/04/2007

Dear Editor,

It was a busy and successful week after the Thanksgiving holiday! From the Iron Range heading south to Rochester, Mike made headlines this week. On Thursday the Mesabi Daily News ran a front page story, “Bakk Backs Ciresi.” In the article State Senator Tom Bakk, chair of the Taxes Committee and the Iron Range legislative delegation, said of Mike, “I think he definitely has the best chance of beating Norm Coleman.” This article ran just 24 hours after the Rochester Post Bulletin’s Bill Boyne wrote, “New Leadership: Ciresi particularly well suited for Minnesota’s U.S. Senate seat.” The commentary piece by Boyne, the retired editor and publisher of the paper noted, “Ciresi’s knowledge of the law and his detailed knowledge of Minnesota politics and government would make him an unusually effective leader.”

Please help us spread the good news about Mike to likely delegates and voters around the state! Caucus Night, Feb. 5th, is fast-approaching, and we want to get the great news to likely delegates while they are making the critical decision whom to support.

Your contribution today helps us get this great news to likely convention delegates now.

Mike also hit the Twin Cities airwaves last week. On Tuesday, Mike spent an hour with Ron Rosenbaum on the Bob Davis Show on AM1500 KSTP. After stopping at KSTP, Mike went over to KFAI to appear on Conversations with Al McFarlane, which broadcasts from the atrium of the Midtown Global Market. Mike had a lively conversation with Martin Mohamed of the African Chamber of Commerce, Nghi Huynh, Publisher and Editor of the Asian American Press, and Reverend Randolph Staten. Didn’t get a chance to hear the shows live? Go to KFAI and KSTP to stream the programs.

When Mike isn’t reaching out to Minnesotans over the airwaves or in print, he is spending time with DFLer’s across Minnesota. Here’s what Mike is hearing from people: We must beat Norm Coleman in November 2008! In order for Mike to win the nomination, and change the norm in Washington – he needs your help! There are 3 things you can do today to become part of a movement to take back Minnesota for everyone!

1) Save the date: February 5, 2008 is Precinct Caucus Night in Minnesota. The night our march to victory begins! Never caucused before? Just drop us an email at info@ciresiforsenate.com or give us a call at 1-866-925-2008.

2) Make a donation today! Each contribution, no matter how large or small, helps ensure that Democrats go forward with the best candidate to beat Norm Colman next November. Please give as much as you can, every contribution of $10, $50, $100 or $1000 helps Mike’s march to victory!

3) Send this email to three of your friends and let them know that Minnesotans are supporting Mike Ciresi and ask them to do the same!

Thank you for all the work you have done and support you continue to give to make sure Mike takes back this Senate seat from Norm Coleman!

Sincerely,

Kerry Greeley
