Ciresi lends his campaign $2 million

DFL U.S. Senate candidate Mike Ciresi is lending his campaign $2 million, campaign spokeswoman Leslie Sandberg announced today.

The loan is aimed at giving the campaign a boost in its quest for delegates.

Sandberg denied the suggestion that Ciersi’s campaign needs a financial boost, and said they have the resources to be competitive. The campaign had $1 million in the bank at the end of the last quarter, she said.

The loan comes on the heels of a recent poll showing DFL U.S. Senate candidate Al Franken and Ciresi running neck and neck with Sen. Norm Coleman.
