Clouds Over the White House Remain

03/26/2007

There are still clouds hanging over the White House from the issue of Scooter Libby and the involvement with the Vice-President and his staff with the outing of a CIA Agent, Valerie Plume. The matter is not yet cleared up.

Libby’s situation is established with a guilty finding by the court. He is still hoping for a presidential pardon and that will not likely forthcoming in the present political climate.

The White House has bigger problems to deal with than Scooter Libby.

The issues raised from the Libby trial are in mere suspension as the Gonzales issue takes front stage. It still must be resolved and when it is there will likely be a demand made for Chaney’s resignation.

I suspect that is a post-Easter event.
