ST. PAUL (4/25/06) – As the Star Tribune reported Jeff Davis, the president of Minnesota Citizens in Defense of Marriage, said Monday that his group took no part in the threatening mailing to Sen. Chaudhary.

“Minnesota Citizens in Defense of Marriage can not run away from the consequences of their actions. Their hateful tactics have spawned a hateful threat. They have behaved irresponsibly and they have encouraged right-wing extremists to target legislators.

“Now will the Minnesota GOP, Senator Bachmann and the supporters of the anti-marriage amendment denounce these ads and the hateful, extremist tactics of Minnesota Citizens in Defense of Marriage? Minnesota deserves a government of inclusivity, where a mature open debate can take place - not this irresponsible and dangerous mockery.”
