DFL Social To Be Held On August 16th

What do you get when you combine “Back to School,” a “Picnic,” a “Town Hall Meeting,” and the DFL members all sharing compelling stories about our State?

Answer: One heck of a good evening.

That is what will take place Tuesday evening, August 16th, from 5:30pm till 9pm at the DFL Headquarters located at 2002 2nd Street SW, here in Rochester, MN.

The event will be held at the lower level meeting hall and is handicapped accessible with an elevator. The building is wonderfully air-conditioned and has ample parking.

The intent, according to Lynn Wilson, Olmsted County Chair, is to bring together DFL lawmakers, people who have served in special youth opportunity positions and update attendees with news of the goings on in the DFL Party. Andy Welti and Chris Schmitter will share their experiences and the Sate DFL Party will provide a speaker to discuss the budgeting session in St. Paul and let you know about upcoming events..

It’s an informal summer social evening and it’s designed to inform and educate the DFL Membership of Olmsted County about events past as well as those soon to come your way.

There is a not so hidden agenda too. People attending are asked to donate back to school supplies to Running Start.

A free will offering will be taken.
