DNC Messaging Project and Forum VENUE CHANGE

07/17/2005

Dear DFLers,

I have two very important messages to share with you today.

First, there is much wisdom within the grassroots of our party.  Fortunately our DNC Chair, Howard Dean recognizes that and has asked Democrats across the country to participate in a messaging project.  As you know, strengthening our message is a high priority for many within our party.  Governor Dean appreciates that each of us understands what it means to be a Democrat and has the power to communicate that in an effective way.  He would like to hear what your thoughts are to help strengthen our message at both the local and national levels.  Since Governor Dean and the DNC has asked for input from each state Democratic Party, the MN DFL has set up an online survey to facilitate this.

Your voice is important and necessary!  Please take the time to share your thoughts in our online survey at:

http://www.democratslisten.com

Howard Dean wants to hear from you!  Please take the survey by July 26 so your comments can be passed on to Governor Dean.

Thanks in advance for your participation in this DNC messaging project.

Second, Please note that there has been a venue change for the upcoming Minnesota Stories TOWN HALL FORUM on Monday, July 18 at 7 p.m. in Minneapolis.  Please also accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience.  The new location is:

Lyndale Farmstead Recreation Center
3900 Bryant Avenue S
Minneapolis, MN 55409

Our first Minnesota Stories TOWN HALL FORUM was held July 13 in Burnsville and was a huge success.  The very powerful, moving stories that were shared by DFLers that evening will be extremely helpful in strengthening our DFL message.  We’d love to hear your story too!  Your input is important, so if you’re in the Minneapolis area, please join us on Monday, July 18 for the Minnesota Stories TOWN HALL FORUM!  If not, keep an eye out for a Town Hall Forum coming near you.

Thanks very much,

Donna Cassutt
Minnesota DFL Party Associate Chair
