Do this first thing this morning

02/25/2008

Dear Editor,

Before you turn on the TV this morning, before you head off to work, before you return your first voicemail, and before you get that second cup of coffee, do this FIRST:

Call your state legislators. Call them now and tell them to support today's veto override of the bipartisan comprehensive transportation bill. Demand that they stand up for quality, safe transportation now.

Click here and here to find the contact information for your state legislators. (Not sure who represents you? Click here to find out.)

Call your legislators and tell them to override Governor Pawlenty's third veto of bipartisan legislation that will help to rebuild our crumbling transportation infrastructure. Not only does this legislation have the support of an overwhelming majority of state legislators, this bill has the support of unions, farmers, and even the Chamber of Commerce.

Call your legislators right now and tell them to make our roads better and safer.

To create jobs.

To invest in public transportation.

And to reduce congestion.

Call your legislators right now.

Thank you, and have a great rest of the day.

Sincerely,

Donna Cassutt
Associate Chair
Minnesota DFL Party

P.S. This vote could happen as early as 12:30 PM today; in order to have your voice heard, you must call now.
