Don’t Forget the DFL on Your Tax Return!

Dear Fellow DFL’er,

Thanks to all of you who were able to attend our annual Hubert H. Humphrey Dinner on Saturday with Keynote Speaker Senator Hillary Clinton and special guest Senator Mark Dayton.  The event was a great success!  Here’s another way you can help support the Minnesota DFL - at no cost to you.

As the deadline for filing your taxes approaches, you have a unique and easy opportunity to support the Party through the State Elections Campaign Fund.  The State Elections Campaign Fund was created to help finance the expensive costs of running for office and level the playing field.  It provides limited public funds to campaigns and political parties.  All you have to do is indicate your party preference on your Minnesota tax form.

If you have not already done your 2004 taxes, please enter the code “12” on the line marked “State Elections Campaign Fund.” on your Minnesota tax form.  Doing this will NOT increase your tax or reduce your refund, but will set aside $5 to support our DFL “team.”
