Education Rally July 7th
07/01/2006
Hello All,
I am passing along an invitation I received from a Century Student. This
invitation was sent to the staff, but many of the words and sentiments
expressed apply to a great many DFLers.
While education is not a partisan issue, and this this is clearly not a
partisan event, because so many of you share my passion for education and
for supporting our next generation of leaders, I thought this would be of
interest.
RSEF is a non-partisan student group who has been active over the last 2-3
years in advocating on behalf of appropriate pre-K through college education
funding. They are an incredible group of young people. I hope to see many
of you next Friday at 7pm in the Peace Plaza.
Thanks everyone for supporting kids, schools, and education.

“Teachers and Staff of Century High School,
This is a follow-up email to remind you that RSEF (Rochester Students for
Education Funding) is hosting the “Rally for the Future” on Friday, July 7th
at 7 pm at Peace Plaza in support of the referendum to extend the levy to
prevent budget cuts.
We would sincerely appreciate your presence at this rally. It is student
led, and we believe that support from our educational community will be
beneficial in ensuring that every child continues to receive a quality education in the
Rochester School District.
As Alex Diedrich, who contacted you previously, is now out of the country,
feel free to email me at or phone me at 507-261-0102
with questions or to RSVP. I would like to have an estimate of the attendees.
Thank you for your support, and your contribution to the district. You have
been very instrumental in making my first two years at Century meaningful.
Lauren Koster
