Farmfest volunteers needed

Greetings to DFLers in the 1st and 7th CDs:

It’s that time of year again when I seek out volunteers to work at the DFL booth at Farmfest.

Farmfest is a large Ag Trade Fair that takes place at Gilfillan Estate Farm between Redwood Falls and Morgan (near Jackpot Junction).  It attracts about 45,000 over 3 days.  The DFL booth at this event gets a lot of traffic and it’s paid for by the 1st, 7th and State DFL parties.

At the end of June I need to turn in names of volunteers who will work at our booth so that I can get a free pass for each of them.

At this time I don’t need a definite date and time from people, but if you know you can be there for a 3-hour period on one of the days, let me know and I’ll submit your name for a pass.  We can work out the details of the schedule a bit later.

Dates and times of Farmfest:

Tuesday Aug 2 - open from 8am-5pm
Wednesday Aug 3 - 8am-5pm
Thursday Aug 4 - 8am-4pm

I generally need about 6 people to cover a day so I have 2 people in the booth at all times.  Shifts would be:  8am-11am, 11am-2pm, 2pm-5pm

Of course your pass is good for all day and any of the days, so you can check out all of the exhibits for free when you’re not volunteering a shift at the booth.
