Farmfest volunteers needed

Greetings to DFLers in the 1st and 7th CDs:

I'm once again organizing the DFL booth at Farmfest that is sponsored by the Minnesota DFL, along with the 1st & 7th CD DFL parties.

I need to turn in names of volunteers by early June to get free passes for them. I don't need to set the hourly schedule yet, so just let me know if you'd like to volunteer and we'll work things out in July.

Here are the details to help you decide:

Farmfest is a large Agricultural Trade Show that takes place on the grounds of the Gilfillan Estate Farm between Redwood Falls and Morgan (near Jackpot Junction). The dates for this year are Tuesday, Aug 7 through Thursday, August 9. It runs in the daytime hours from 8am until 5pm.

We generally do 3 shifts a day of 3 hours each and I prefer to have two people staffing the booth. Your pass will be good for you to use any day; so if you fulfill your shift, you can stick around and take things in for the rest of the day or come back a different day as well. I expect some of our candidates and many of our elected officials will spend time at this event as well.

Please let me know if you think you'll be able to help out and I'll give the sponsoring organization all the names in early June. I'll contact you in early July to set the schedule and send you a gate pass in late July, along with directions and other details.

I look forward to hearing from many of you. This has been a great way for DFLers from the 1st and 7th to work together on promoting our candidates and party!
