Franken Endorsed by City Council Members!

SAINT PAUL [12/19/07] - Today the Al Franken for U.S. Senate campaign proudly announces the support of Minneapolis City Council Members Ralph Remington and Paul Ostrow, St. Paul City Council Member Dave Thune, and Maplewood City Council Member Will Rossbach.
City Council Member Remington issued the following statement:
"I unequivocally support Al because I believe he's the right person at theright time to get the job done. I believe he can win and carry the collective progressive voices of Minnesota to Washington. I support him because he's the right person at the right time. He'll go there and represent progressivism to the best of his ability."
City Council Member Ostrow said the following:
"I'm supporting Al Franken because he's been a champion of progressive causes. I'm supporting Al Franken because his campaign is all about energizing and mobilizing people, and that's how progressives win in Minnesota. I'm supporting Al Franken because he's done so much for the DFL. I'm supporting Al because I think he has the best chance of beating Norm Coleman. But, most of all, I'm supporting Al Franken because he'll be the Senator who most effectively advocates for the values he and I share."
And City Council Member Thune said:
"What happens in Washington directly affects everyone in Saint Paul, and we need Al there fighting for us."
