Good Job Guys and Gals

Both John Kerry and Edward Kennedy proved themselves tough Irishmen last week as each took several shots on the chin for daring to suggest a filibuster of the vote on Samuel Alito for Justice of the Supreme Court and for demanding documents pertinent to the confirmation.
Both are seasoned politicians, both knew they lacked the votes for a filibuster, yet they persisted in order to call attention to the bad choice being made. The very idea of stuffing the Supreme Court with neo-con ideologues is repugnant to them as it is for many in the Democratic Party.
So they took a few bloody noses for the Party and they fought the good fight and we want to say that we know what they did, we appreciated that they did it, and while we sympathize and offer gauze, there isn’t much more that can be done given the GOP’s ownership of the Senate.
This 109th Congress has been brilliantly managed by Democrats in both the House and the Senate. We have done what we can with the tools that we have. Democrats have tried the Bush Administration in the Court of Public Opinion and they have found the GOP guilty of lies, cheating, deception, criminal behavior, and widespread corruption. Our leaders have set the essential tone for the 110th Congress and the coming November Congressional elections. It is a combative tone and that is what the Party has been demanding.
Many names can be mentioned but these two guys plus John Murtha, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi have been star players.
Good Job guys and gals.
