Greater MN Town Hall Meetings - Take A Stand Campaign!
Please join us next week at one of two important Greater Minnesota Town Hall Meetings on the future of Social Security, where we’ll be asking Congressmen Kennedy and Gutknecht to finally Take A Stand on Social Security!
We’re teaming up with Minnesotans United for Social Security to host Town Hall meetings in Winona and Saint Cloud next Thursday, June 2.

Minnesota’s 1st and 6th Congressional districts are key areas in the fight to protect Social Security from George Bush’s risky scheme. We know that both Congressman Kennedy and Congressman Gutknecht are White House allies, so we need to remind them that their constituents are opposed to privatization.
We need to show them that we will continue to work together to save our retirement security from the White House’s proposed benefit cuts and privatization plan.
We’ve asked Congressman Kennedy and Congressman Gutknecht to attend our town hall meetings next week. We want them to come hear what their constituents have to say about the importance of Social Security in their communities, but so far they have been unwilling to attend. Are they just too busy to come listen to the people they’re elected to represent? Or are they ducking the issue?
We are Taking a Stand for Social Security!
Join us as we meet with local experts to learn more about Social Security’s past and its future. Then we’ll give public testimony about why Social Security deserves to be saved. Finally, we’ll get organized to bring our message to our members of congress.
