Hello

04/03/2008

Hi all,

"Hello, my name is Joe Aronson and I am the new Field Director for the 7th Congressional District. I can't begin to tell all of you how excited I am to be working in the 7th! I have some personal connections to the district as well: my father is a '72 graduate of Moorhead HS, my family owns two cabins outside of Pelican Rapids and my grandfather was the creator and host of Viewpoint, a popular political show on WDAY for many years. In addition to those connections I have enjoyed Bemidji's Dragon Boat Festival, fishing Lake of the Woods, playing football in Hutchinson and door-knocking in Willmar to name a few. I am excited to get the chance to visit many other great communities in the 7th and meet with you folks.

As for me I am a graduate of St. John's University in Minnesota. I have worked on campaigns as a researcher as well as a field organizer in predominately rural districts. I have also worked at the Minnesota House of Representatives as a Legislative Assistant. Once again I wanted to say how excited I am to have the opportunity to work with you folks in the 7th and build upon your past successes. I look forward to meeting many of you at the convention if not before and please if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me."

I wanted to let you folks know what I was up to this week and figure out where to go from there. I have some more paperwork and other type issues to do down here at the DFL and we have an all-staff meeting on Thursday into the evening. I was planning on heading up then Friday night and being at the Clay County Convention on Saturday morning as well as the SD 21 event later on. In addition I am interested in your thoughts on where I can find a desk until all the parties decide on where I will be located for the campaign. For me personally Detroit Lakes would be the easiest because I could stay at my cabin (only about 15 mins away from downtown DL). Let me know.

_joe
