Hillary Clinton: Let’s Get Going
07/17/2005
Dear Editor,
As you and your readers know, I am moving forward in my campaign for re-election to the Senate, speaking up for the values we share, and fighting back against my opponents who have declared me their # 1 target in 2006.
Today we take an important step with the launch of our new website:
We are kicking off this new site with a very special feature: “Conversations with Hillary.” For the next several weeks we will be talking to national leaders and getting their perspective about the critical issues of our time.
Watch Conversations with Hillary:

Our first conversation is with one of my personal heroes, Congressman John Lewis. From his courageous days in the civil rights movement through his leadership in the United States Congress today, John Lewis has been a force for equality and justice. John and I had the chance to sit down and discuss the role of the Supreme Court in our history – and what is at stake today.
I urge you to watch this conversation. The more people who see it, the more we can spark conversations about protecting the values we share and the principles we cherish.
There are few people with John Lewis’s perspective: from the front lines of the civil rights movement to what we should do today to maintain the precious system of government which we inherited and ensure that America offers a brighter future for all our children.
This new website is a reflection of my personal commitment to make sure that our 2006 Senate campaign is successful in winning support and providing an opportunity for talking together, deciding what is important to us, and finding common ground solutions that help move our state and country forward.
I believe this campaign is a chance for us to show a different kind of politics: a campaign that reflects our ideas, our energy, and our vision.
I am excited by the opportunities offered by our new website to engage my friends and supporters to exchange information and ideas. Together, we can make a difference!
Thank you for your interest.
Sincerely,
Hillary Rodham Clinton
