Hillary: “I Knew I Could Count on You”

Dear DFL Members and Supporters,

I knew I could count on you. The response to the $1 a Week Pledge to Election Day 2006 has been overwhelming, and I am so very grateful. Thank you for your support for my campaign for re-election - an election now less than a year away.

Together, we need to continue to work to get America back on the right track. As my opponents and their “Stop Hillary Now” allies go on the attack, I want you to know that I’m not backing down.

Our nation cannot continue on the course set by George W. Bush and the Republican controlled Congress. From the budget...to the costs of energy and health care...to their failure to build a national security policy that would make our country stronger, this administration and their congressional allies are taking us in the wrong direction.

We must stop them before it’s too late.

Your response to my campaign tells me that you’re ready to fight back. So many of you stepped forward to contribute $1 per week that I know you share my determination to keep fighting for the issues and the values we care about. And if you haven’t contributed yet, I hope you will consider doing so now:
