Immigration Reform Results Are Visible

One thing about illegal aliens and immigration reform issue is that it’s not very transparent.

It’s an issue where actions speak louder than words, a measurable situation that can be seen in terms of results.

A fence goes up or not. It is patrolled or not. Razor wire is placed on the jumping off point on the US side or not. Employers of illegal aliens are prosecuted or not. The government sets up a database for employer use or not. The issuance of day worker permits is implemented or not.

And so it goes; on many issues politicians can hide behind smoke and mirrors but not this one. The whole world can see what is being done and tune out the grandiose promises.

Results are what count.

Let’s see if Bush can govern. No issue is more observable or measurable than this one.
