Join Hillary’s National Veterans, Military Retirees and Families Steering Committee

11/05/2007

Dear Friends,

Hillary has a long history of fighting for our country's veterans, military retirees, military families, and survivors. She believes that once service members and their families have fulfilled their duty to our country, our country must fulfill its obligation to them.

As First Lady, Hillary called attention to Gulf War Syndrome. As a senator, she traveled overseas to witness firsthand the incredible honor and courage of our troops. She has consistently taken a leading role in improving mental health services, access to medical care, family benefits, and assistance in transitioning to civilian life for our veterans.

The Senate just passed an amendment sponsored by Hillary that extends the benefits provided under the Family and Medical Leave Act by allowing the families of wounded military personnel to take up to six months of unpaid leave.

As president, Hillary will continue be a strong fighter for America's military community.

Join today and become a part of Hillary's National Veterans, Military Retirees and Families Steering Committee.
