Rochesterfest Picnic and Parade
Friday June 27 4:00 picnic starts, 6:30PM parade
When:June 27,2008 from 4:00pm until ???? (Until it is over)
What: Rochester Fest Parade /Picnic
Where: 607 East Center Street; Rochester, MN
Why: To support the DFL Candidates
Olmsted County has paid the entry fee for the float and Senate Districts 29 and 30 are sponsoring the picnic. We all want to show our support for our candidates and the DFL.
The rules of the parade, this year, allow for a total of 25 people walking with the unit. That means we are only allowed 3 walkers for each candidate in the parade with the DFL float. Meet us at the site and wear a t-shirt supporting your candidate. We will be having meetings prior to the start of the parade at the picnic site and then go from there with stickers in support of DFL candidates.
Representatives of the campaigns will have stickers and instructions for all those that want to take part in this visibility opportunity. We will need volunteers at the picnic too. But if you just want to come and picnic and watch the parade you can do that too. We will have Hot dogs, chips, lemonade, and other treats for those who show up.
Donations are always welcome, to the sponsors, and to our candidates. This promises to be a FUN event and we look forward to seeing a large group of DFL supporters at the parade and picnic before during and even post parade.
Bring your Lawn chairs and enjoy the largest parade of the summer with your DFL friends.
