Kerry to Head to Saint Paul – Monday October 10th to Campaign for Chris Coleman
Will Rally At Macalester College at 9:30 am In Support of Coleman Platform of Strong Schools and Safe Streets For Saint Paul
Washington, D.C. –John Kerry will travel to Saint Paul, Minnesota on Monday October 10th to help Chris Coleman win election as the next mayor of Saint Paul. He will join Coleman and Congresswoman Betty McCollum at a rally at Macalester College’s Kagin Commons Monday morning starting at 9:30 am to rally the strong Saint Paul Democratic team, recruit volunteers and help elect Democrats win in Saint Paul on November 8th.
Kerry endorsed Coleman for mayor on September 6th in an email to the Minnesota members of the johnkerry.com grassroots community, praising his platform of Strong Schools and Safe Streets for Saint Paul. He sent out more emails this week to supporters explaining why this Mayor’s race in Saint Paul is so important for Saint Paul families.
This will be Kerry’s second trip to Minnesota this year. He traveled to Saint Paul in May for a town hall meeting on his Kids First legislation.
“This election is about the future of Saint Paul. We need to leaders who will stand up to the failed policies coming out Washington and fight for Saint Paul’s schools and neighborhoods,” Kerry wrote in an email to Minnesota supporters this week. “Chris Coleman is a proven leader in the community with a distinguished record of public service and the courage to stand up for what is right. We need more leaders like Chris who will set us on the right course for a stronger Saint Paul.”
