Kiscaden: April 22 Forum in Rochester

04/12/2006

Greetings!

The Legislature is now in recess for five days.  I will have an update for you upon our return from this recess.  In the mean time, I wanted to send you a quick message to notify you of the next Coffee and Contestation Forum on environmental legislation.

Topic: Clean Water: Legacy or Memory?

Saturday, April 22, 2006—Earth Day!
8 - 10 a.m.
Quarry Hill Nature Center
701 Silver Creek Road NE

Mr. Craig Johnson, League of MN Cities, and Mr. Terry Lee, Olmsted County Environmental Resources, will lead a discussion of the clean water proposals currently before the Legislature.  Round table discussions will follow with fellow community members and local legislators.  Handouts outlining the proposals will be available at the Forum.

It’s Earth Day!  Enjoy a cup of Dunn Bros coffee and talk to your neighbors about issues that affect us all.  After the forum, you can take a walk at Quarry Hill!

This forum is free and open to the public.  This is an opportunity to be part of the democratic process and share views on issues facing our state and community.
