Last Chance for the 2006 Political Contribution Refund program

Season's greetings! I hope that you’re enjoying the holidays with family and loved ones.


I'm writing to remind you about the Political Contribution Refund program, in case you haven't yet participated this year. Each calendar year, the State of Minnesota will refund up to $50 per person ($100 per couple) given to a political party (or a qualifying candidate). The State will reimburse you about six weeks after you send in your receipt. This program is a free way that you can easily support your DFL Party and all its candidates, at no cost to you. This year, as you know, the Minnesota DFL Party was tremendously successful — we held onto a seat in the United States Senate, gained a seat in Congress, went from one statewide constitutional office to three, and took back the Legislature. Now, with 2007 just around the corner, we are looking forward to the 2008 cycle, when we can consolidate our gains from the 2006 election, and take back the White House. But we can’t wait for 2008 . . . we need the resources now that will let us sustain and build the infrastructure that will support all our candidates, from the State House to the White House.
