Late Nite Politics

This new law for eavesdropping on all of America: It is really a euphemism for voyeurism. Can you imagine how boring those people are that are listening in on about 99% of Americans..! In order to keep the morale up with all of the Homeland Security Jobs, they have to listen in and find someone with a life that is more interesting than theirs. It is about the same as watching the Soaps on TV. A glimpse into someone elses life, "it might be more fun than my life is ?"

In 2004 when President Bush came to Mankato Minnesota, he was all set up for the Rockin in the Quarry. I was Secretary for our DFL SD 23, actively involved, and helping to get some Kerry people out on the route to the Quarry. As far as security goes, both my cell phone and my home phones were not functional. Mysteriously, they all worked fine about an hour after the helicopters and limos were out of town. Democrats were not welcome to attend the Presidents Speech. I was out on the road with signs, and after the speach, hundreds of Republicans drove by with their middle finger up in the air. I was not really sure if they meant that "He's Number One" or if it was some way to help me keep God first in my life? Law enforcement, respected local leaders, Hy Vee Employees, just people from every walk of life were rolling down their windows and holding this "Bird" out to me as if it was an offering. This may all sound like a negative to you, but look what we now have as a response to this sort of behavior from Republicans, we now have TIM WALZ ! I mean this in all sincerity. He is an example of having a positive response to a negative stimulis.... We can now support Tim and be a source of positive power in his role as 1st Congressional District Representative.

Sincerely,

Drew Campbell
