The Pope is doing it with Islam.

The EU and Iran are doing it right now.

All over the word people are talking and negotiating and communicating with those they are having strife and issues with.

It’s the only way to resolve political differences short of war.

It’s the only way to peace when the alternative—war—was tried.

We are speaking about diplomacy, negotiation, discussion, communication, and deal making.

Hamas and Fatah have stopped doing it.

Iraq is sort of doing it but in a negative manner.

Bush isn’t doing it at all.

What is wrong with this picture? Why aren’t we Americans doing it?

Duh!
