7/7/07. That day could go down in history as the day that turned our planet back from the edge of disaster. On 7/7/07, millions of people around the world will gather for Al Gore's Live Earth concerts to save the climate.

We've been waiting for this moment, and now you can be a part of it. Over 750 MoveOn members nationwide will open their homes to participate in the MoveOn Town Hall on the Climate Crisis and then watch the concerts. But we still need a host in Rochester—can you step up to the plate?

The night's shaping up to be super special. We'll gather together to tune into the concerts and share ideas about how to turn the climate crisis around. And we won't just be talking about the problem, we'll get to hear from each of the Democratic presidential candidates about their plan for fixing it.

We'll invite the guests—all you need is a TV, a DVD player, and a space where people can gather. Can you share your living room on Saturday evening, July 7th so folks in Rochester can be part of Live Earth and MoveOn's Virtual Town Hall on the climate crisis?

It's a great way to spend a Saturday night—with friends, making history.

The evening will kick off with a barbeque or potluck. Then, we'll gather round to check out the presidential candidates answering MoveOn member questions on how to lead us out of the climate crisis. Finally, we'll tune into the 7/7/07 concerts with millions of other people around the world.

And the best part? We'll start to work on a set of specific next steps for a clean energy future—starting with our online vote on the candidate with the best climate plan.

We're doing all this with our friends at Campaign for America's Future, the League of Conservation Voters, and the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights. So, the event will be full of great information and different ideas about solutions.

Hosting is the easy part. We'll invite other folks in your community. The only thing you need to do is have a TV that gets NBC, a DVD player for the candidate presentation, and a place where folks can hang out. A living room, a backyard, or even a café will work great.

We'll give you all the materials and tips you need to make your event a success.
