Hello from Klobuchar campaign headquarters. We write to you today to ask your help in shining some light on the real Mark Kennedy.

Congressman Kennedy’s been running campaign ads for weeks now and we’ve seen a whole “new” side of him. Unlike his campaign ads in the past, his good buddy George Bush is nowhere to be seen and he even forgot to mention he’s a Republican. I will say this much: it takes a lot of guts to look into a camera and tell people you’re bipartisan and independent when you’ve voted with your President and political party no less than 92% of the time.

Don’t let Kennedy run from his near-perfect record of support for George Bush and the Republican leadership’s failed policies. Donate to Amy Klobuchar’s campaign today, and help her set the record straight.

Seems Mark Kennedy’s decided that the winds are blowing the wrong way and now he’s got to convince us that he’s something he’s not. Trouble is, it’s hard to hide from your record when you’ve voted with the president 92% of the time, including giving billions away to Big Oil while Minnesotans were being socked by high gas prices at the pump.

Now, you and I know Mark Kennedy’s sudden election-year conversion to bipartisanship is a political ruse, and a pretty transparent one to boot. But most people in Minnesota don’t know Mark Kennedy. For many of them, those highly misleading ads are the very first thing they’ll hear about him. With enough money behind them, these distortions could very well muddy the waters.
