Meet Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer in Rochester Saturday 1/26/08

01/26/2008

As the February 5th precinct caucuses approach, here is a chance to meet the US Senate candidate who is making waves in the contest for the DFL endorsement. Elaine and Joe Mayer are hosting a house party for Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer Saturday, January 26, 2:00-3:30 pm at their home, 1432 20th St NW, Rochester.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune calls Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer a “big hit with DFL progressives… [who] generally gets the loudest and longest applause at DFL candidate debates.” In just three months since entering the race, Jack has clearly established that this is a wide-open three-person race for the DFL endorsement. And again after Wednesday’ night’s packed-house DFL Senate candidate forum in Duluth, the Duluth News Tribune reported that Jack "won much of the night's applause."

Jack believes the key issues facing our nation are addressing global warming, ending the Iraq war and re-orienting our foreign policy, and establishing a universal single-payer health care system. To beat Norm Coleman, we need a candidatewith the courage to squarely address these issues, and who can give voters realistic hope that by directing our nation’s energies to addressing them, we will emerge better off from the dark days of George Bush and Norm Coleman. Jack is that candidate.

If you haven’t had the chance to meet Jack, come by the Mayer’s and size him up for yourself.
