Melendez Coment On Wellstone Anniversary

(ST. PAUL) 10/25/06 - Today marks the fourth anniversary of Minnesota progressive icon Paul Wellstone’s death. Minnesota DFL Chair Brian Melendez released the following statement:

“The legacy of Paul Wellstone has forever altered the landscape of Minnesota politics. The teacher from Northfield redefined what it means to live by the courage of your convictions. Paul was the one yelling truth from the rooftops and leading by example. He was an unrelenting voice for those who struggled to achieve the American dream and his passion inspired us all. His presence is missed every day but we are all better off having been touched by his life.”
