ST. PAUL (01/18/2006)- Minnesota DFL Chair Brian Melendez will appear on CNN’s Lou Dobbs Tonight at 5 p.m. (second segment) Thursday, Jan. 19, to discuss how morally wrong it is that Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty is using immigration as a re-election tool.

Pawlenty used this divisive issue to get elected in 2002--has done nothing with it since--and is now running on it again.

No one disagrees that immigration is an important issue that needs reform. Melendez will call on the federal government--not Pawlenty--to protect our borders.
